There are many common dating mistakes men make, and most of them occur by bringing up intense topics too early into a relationship; politics, religion and sex. Men make many mistakes when it comes to first dates. While dating is not exactly science, what works for one date, will not work for another and so on. It is for this reason that men can become so disillusioned as to what works in a standard dating situation. They may have had one freak accident of a date where throughout the entire date she wanted to hear about was his income and previous sex life and transfer this into what he thinks works in every dating situation.
The majority of common dating mistakes men make stems from what they assume they think their date is thinking, and men have quite a habit of being far from accurate in these assumptions. So what are the main mistakes that men make when it come to dating?
Number one: Arrogance. Bragging and touting on about conquests, achievements and life successes are right up there in the book of common dating mistakes and are bound to get you nowhere in a dating environment. It's when men brag about their possessions and popularity is bound to make any woman think you are nothing more than an attention seeking fool.
Being loud with your money is another of the most common dating mistakes, and a huge turn off for the majority of women out there. Do not assume you would be the major breadwinner in any relationship unless you have a bank balance that mirrors Mr. Trump, because in today's world, the vast majority of women are career oriented professionals, and any woman you meet that is turned on by your bank balance is more than likely going to have eyes only for your cash.
Common dating mistakes that men make generally stem from talking too much and not giving enough time for her to talk and describe what kind of person she is. Many men will listen to a woman speak, only to have her words fall on deaf ears while he waits for his turn to speak. Listen attentively, think of common ground in the topics and issues she raises and use these to spring forward your next conversation, do not just wait for her to take a breath so you can ramble on about how you've been there and done it better. Conversation is a two way process.
By all means love yourself and have confidence in what you can bring to the table of a relationship, but avoid arrogance, vanity and speaking too much about yourself. Listen, listen well and pay attention to her words and voice, not her breasts and legs, and you are bound to avoid many of the common dating mistakes that men make in today's dating world. Have respect for your date, treat her as the centre of your attention and lavish her with your attention and respect, not your cash and stories of you own achievements.
